Thank you for visiting Daily Dose of Balance!
My name is Meg, and once upon a time ago, back in 2006 I had a blog (Skrinkering Hearts) where I wrote about living and loving and frolicking my heart and life and dreams around the city (the city being right outside of Boston). I was a young grad student, working and waitressing and going to school for a degree in counseling, living with my girlfriends in an apartment in the city, and I did a lot of dating.
Currently, I’m still living just outside of Boston in the burbs’ with my husband Matt, our puppy Charlie, Cosmo-cat, and the best addition of all, our little human- Nolan!, who we welcomed into the world May 11 of this year!
I’m a registered nurse by day and in no particular order, here are some things I have an affinity for: cooking, running, the ocean, craft beer and good wine, my husband, traveling, autumn, good hair, meditation, live music, and living an active and healthy lifestyle.
This blog is intended to be a place where I write about things that bring me joy and feed my soul. You can count on the fact that I won’t sugar coat my life. I keep it real by talking about the things I struggle with sometimes, areas I fall short, and the lessons I’m learning along the way.
As far as “Daily Dose of Balance,” I’m really passionate about finding a healthy balance in our everyday lives. Working hard in order to play hard is important to me. Life is busy, our schedules can be crazy hectic and often it feels like the time flies and we’re just on the sidelines watching it whirl by. Even with a busy life, I think it’s so important to make time for the things that are good for us- feeding our body, mind, and soul with good things each day.
If you’ve stopped by here for the first time, welcome! I hope you’ll say hello and stick around! I love meeting new people who are also interested in living a full, balanced, silly, fun, no BS life.
